Dr. 安D. 大卫

Dr. 安D. 大卫 is a teacher educator who prepares students to teach in middle and high school. She currently serves as the Chair of the 本科 Council, as well as serving on the board of the Women and Gender Studies Concentration and the Honors Council. Before beginning her doctoral work at UT Austin, Dr. 大卫 taught high school English and drama in public and private schools in the Midwest. She also has experience with community-based arts education, working in an art museum and performing arts center, inviting young people into performance and gallery spaces to learn and experience the arts.

She has presented at national conferences with organizations such as the National Council of Teachers of English and the American 教育 Research Association. Her articles have been published in Teaching and Teacher 教育,英语 Journal and English in Texas. Dr. 大卫 develops and delivers multi-day professional development workshops focused on middle and high school reading and writing for districts, schools and teachers across Texas.

Dr. 大卫 finds many ways to be involved in her professional organizations. She is a member of the Standing Committee Against Censorship and the Commission on Writing Teacher 教育 with NCTE. She recently chaired the Intellectual Freedom Award Committee. She is also a member of the Teacher Development Section of the Texas Council of Teachers of English Language Arts. 最后,博士. 大卫 serves as the Co-Director for the San Antonio Writing Project, a site of the National Writing Project.

2016-2020年，博士. 大卫 served as the Curriculum Coordinator for Called and Consecrated, an online curriculum available in English and Spanish that explores the lives of women religious. The project was funded by the Conrad N. 希尔顿基金会. The online curriculum is free and available at calledandconsecrated.org.
